COE Prices


Prices for Certificates of Entitlement (COE) have dipped across the board, at the close of the first bidding exercise for Aug at 4pm today.
Premiums for small cars (below 1,600cc) saw the biggest drop of 12.9 per cent, but holding at $48,801.
The last bidding exercise in July saw the highest COE prices in 10 years, where premiums for small cars soared to $56,002.
Those in the Open category and cars above 1,600cc still saw premiums hovering around the $70,000 mark, but dipping slightly from the previous month.
Premiums for big cars are now $70,890, down from $72,501, while COE prices in the Open category dropped 5.9 per cent from $74,490 to $70,117.
COEs under the open category can be used for any vehicle type but usually ended up being used for cars.
Motorcycle premiums are now $1,890 (down 6.1 per cent), while COEs for commerical goods vehicles saw a marginal decline at $34,009 (down 1.4 per cent).
